The Blume Adrenal Mocktail: A Simple Ritual for Hydration, Electrolytes & Everyday Wellness

Feeling depleted, stressed, or simply like you need a little reset? Try this refreshing, nutrient-rich mocktail.

There’s something powerful about creating small rituals that help you pause, hydrate, and give your body a little extra support.

Enter the adrenal mocktail, sometimes called a cortisol cocktail. This simple combination of citrus, coconut water, lemon, and a pinch of mineral-rich salt has become a popular wellness ritual for people looking for a refreshing way to support hydration and replenish electrolytes.

While an adrenal mocktail isn't a treatment for adrenal fatigue or a way to directly "balance" cortisol, it can be a delicious addition to an overall wellness routine. The ingredients provide hydration along with nutrients like vitamin C and potassium, while the small amount of salt adds sodium. Orange juice is also a natural source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that supports immune function and collagen production.

And sometimes, wellness really can be this simple.

Why These Ingredients?

Orange Juice

Orange juice brings natural sweetness, bright citrus flavor, and vitamin C to the glass. Vitamin C is an antioxidant and an essential nutrient involved in immune function, collagen production, and iron absorption.

Coconut Water

Coconut water provides fluid and naturally occurring electrolytes, including potassium. Potassium plays an important role in normal cell function and fluid balance throughout the body.

You can also swap the coconut water for sparkling mineral water if you'd prefer something lighter and bubbly.

Fresh Lemon Juice

Fresh lemon adds brightness and acidity to balance the sweetness of the orange juice. It also makes this feel more like a refreshing mocktail than simply another glass of water.

Himalayan Pink Salt

A small pinch of salt provides sodium, an electrolyte involved in maintaining fluid balance and normal nerve and muscle function.

The key here is a pinch, not a heavy-handed pour. More isn't necessarily better.

Optional Coconut Milk

Want to make it creamy? Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut milk.

It transforms the drink into something a little richer and more satisfying, especially when served over ice.

The Blume Adrenal Mocktail

Ingredients

  • ½ cup orange juice

  • ½ cup coconut water or sparkling mineral water

  • 1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice, approximately the juice of ½ lemon

  • A pinch of Himalayan pink salt

  • Optional: 1 to 2 tablespoons coconut milk

Instructions

Add the orange juice, coconut water or mineral water, lemon juice, and salt to a glass over ice.

Stir well.

For a creamier version, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut milk and stir again until combined.

Enjoy immediately.

Tip: If using sparkling mineral water, add it last and stir gently to preserve the bubbles.

When to Enjoy Your Mocktail

Think of this as a wellness ritual.

Try enjoying it:

  • In the morning as part of your hydration routine

  • After a workout or time spent outdoors

  • During an afternoon slump when you want something refreshing

  • Alongside a balanced meal or snack

  • As a beautiful, alcohol-free evening drink

The bigger picture matters, too. Consistent hydration, nourishing meals, quality sleep, movement, stress management, and individualized healthcare all play a much greater role in supporting energy and overall wellbeing than any single drink.

A Note From Blume Wellness

You may have heard the term "adrenal fatigue" used to describe symptoms like exhaustion, brain fog, difficulty sleeping, or feeling overwhelmed by stress.

It's important to know that adrenal fatigue is not a medically recognized diagnosis. True adrenal conditions, including adrenal insufficiency, are real medical conditions that require proper evaluation and treatment. Persistent or unexplained fatigue shouldn't simply be attributed to "tired adrenals."

At Blume Wellness, we believe your symptoms deserve to be looked at as part of the bigger picture.

If you're consistently feeling exhausted, struggling with sleep, experiencing changes in your mood or energy, or simply don't feel like yourself, it's worth exploring why rather than reaching for another quick fix.

Your body is communicating with you. Let's listen.
